TOPIC: LIVING FOR HIS GLORY

Key Verse: “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again” – 2 Corinthians 5:15

TODAY’S OUTLINE: RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DEVOTIONAL 23RD FEBRUARY 2021 MESSAGE

In these last days, there’s only one thing that matters: living for the Lord; living for His glory; living a life of purpose. Jesus showed us the example to follow in this regard. In John 17:4, He said, I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. That ought to be your thinking as well; glorifying the Father should be your passion and purpose for living. How do you glorify the Father?

It’s by doing His will; doing that which He commits to you and finishing the work. Have you discovered His purpose for your life? Are you about His work? The purpose of the Father is the salvation of the whole world. That’s the reason He sent Jesus. And your purpose in life is connected to this. No matter what you do in life, if you’re not reaching the lost and winning souls, you’re living an empty life.

The Bible says God is unwilling that any should perish but that all men should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). You bring Him glory in making this happen.
He seeks to beautify the lives of those around you, and lead them into righteousnes through you; that’s living a purposeful life.

It doesn’t matter how fruitful or effective you might have been in other areas, you must seek to excel in soul winning, in taking the Gospel to the lost, hopeless, hurting and downtrodden, not just in your world, but also in the regions beyond. A life well lived, a successful life that pleases God, is one that achieves those things God destined you to do. Therefore, bring Him glory by being effectual in leading men to righteousness.

PRAYER: Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the opportunity and ability to influence those in my world with the Gospel. I go forth today, in the fullness of the blessings of Christ, impacting my world with your grace and righteousness, turning men from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

TOPIC: SPEAK WORDS FROM THE FATHER

SCRIPTURE: For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak (John 12:49).

Rhapsody of Realities 1st March 2021 Devotional Message
Have you ever wondered why some of the words you speak produce the wrong results? Perhaps you’re not speaking words from the Father. Jesus spoke the Father’s words. He knew exactly the right words to say in every situation, to everyone, and concerning everything. The secret is what He told us in our theme verse.

Imagine what transpired in Luke 7:11-17. He was on a journey to the city of Nain, and as He arrived at the gate of the city, He saw a funeral procession of a young man who was the only son of a widow. Moved with compassion, He touched the casket and said, “…Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother” (Luke 7:14-15). He raised the lifeless body of that young man back to life with words!

Over a raging tempest, the Bible says, “…he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:39). It made no difference how turbulent the weather was, Jesus hushed them with words. The words He spoke came from the Father. He said in John 12:50, “…whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”

We’re to have His kind of results, because the Father has given us words to speak. Don’t speak words that you learnt from the world; speak the Word of God. Get your language from the Word of God. That’s why you have to keep studying the Scriptures (2 Timothy 2:15). Think and talk like Jesus, and you’ll have His extraordinary results.

CONFESSION
Blessed be God! My words are divine, infused with power to change circumstances. The Father’s words dwell in me richly, and I speak them forth in wisdom. Hallelujah!
