Joyce Meyer 2021 January 16th Daily Devotional – God’s Delivering Power

You are reading Today Daily Devotional for 16th January 2021 Saturday Joyce Meyer. May the Lord bless you as you study through the page, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC (JOYCE MEYER DEVOTIONAL 16TH JANUARY 2021): GOD’S DELIVERING POWER

SCRIPTURE: Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house, and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he got down upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.  – Daniel 6:10 (AMPC)

In the story of Daniel, the Word tells us that Daniel got on his knees to pray and thank God three times a day. He had a habit of prayer and thanksgiving. When we get on our knees before the Lord, we humble ourselves and say with our actions, “Lord, I reverence and honor You. I am nothing without You. I need You and I humble myself in Your presence.”

Daniel was delivered from a den of hungry lions. His enemies threw him into the lions’ den because they were jealous of him, a foreigner who rose to a high position in their country’s government. When they conspired to hurt him, they knew he was a righteous man and they could not accuse him of wrongdoing. So, they asked the king to issue a decree stating that anyone who did not worship the local gods or the king would be thrown into the lions’ den.

Daniel was not afraid. He refused to compromise his worship. He kept up his. Habit of praying and praising his God three times a day. He did get thrown into the lions’ den, but God shut the mouths of the lions and Daniel emerged unharmed.

We can never underestimate the power of worshipping God. Like Daniel, our prayer and worship needs to be a habit and we need to keep doing it, no matter what anyone says. When enemies or circumstances rise against us, we can count on God to hear our prayers, receive our worship, and deliver us.

Prayer Starter: Lord Jesus, I worship you! Thank you for coming to live in my heart. Help me to never compromise Your principles. In Jesus’ name, amen.

TOPIC: REJOICE AND BE GLAD

SCRIPTURE: Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! – Philippians 4:4 (AMPC)

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Joyce Meyer Daily Devotional 4th March 2021

Countless serious things are going on in this world, and we do need to be aware and prepared for them. But at the same time, because of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we can learn to relax and take things as they come without getting nervous and upset about them.

Thankfully, with God’s help, we can learn how to enjoy the abundant life He’s provided for us through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus. Twice in Philippians 4: 4–7, the apostle Paul tells us to rejoice, and he urges us not to worry or have any anxiety about anything, but to pray and give thanks to God in everything—not only after every difficulty is over. In spite of all the troubling things going on around us, our attitude can be, “This is the day the Lord has made, so I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

I want to encourage you to take some time today to thank God and give Him the things you’re worried about. As you do, it’ll become easier and easier to breathe, rest and enjoy life.

Prayer Starter: Father, no matter what goes on around me today, thank You that I can still rest, knowing You’re taking care of me. Please help me remember to rejoice, even in harder situations. Thank You for giving me joy that’s not found in my circumstances, so no one can take it away. In Jesus’ name, amen.
