Joel Osteen 16th January 2021 Today Devotional – Blessed by Enemies

You are reading Today’s Joel Osteen Daily Devotional for 16th January 2021, written by Joel & Victoria Osteen. God bless you as you study through the passage.

Today’s Scripture: 1 Samuel 17:50, NIV
So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.

Today’s Word On Joel Osteen 16th January 2021 Today Devotional

If it weren’t for Goliath, David would be known only as a shepherd boy. Goliath was strategically placed in David’s path–not to defeat him but to promote him. He was created for David’s purpose. Without Goliath, David would never have taken the throne. What may look like a setback is really a setup to get you to your throne.

We all know that God can bless us. But what we don’t always realize is that God can use our enemies to bless us. There are Goliaths ordained to come across your path. If you don’t understand this principle, you’ll get discouraged and think, “God, why is this happening to me?” You may not like a disappointment someone caused–that person who left you, that coworker who’s trying to make you look bad, or that friend who betrayed you–but you couldn’t reach your destiny without it. It’s all a part of God’s plan to get you to where you’re supposed to be.

Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that You are always greater than any difficulty or adversity I will ever face. Thank You for the Goliaths that You have ordained to come across my path. I believe they were created to promote me and push me to my purpose. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

About Joel Osteen
Raised in Houston, Texas, with a loving family of seven and world-renowned parents in full-time ministry, Joel Osteen never imagined that he would follow so closely in his father’s footsteps. As a young man, his training and interests were behind the scenes in television production, though he was close to his father in ministry.

“There’s no greater feeling than being able to help people rise higher and overcome something and feel better about themselves. I think that we’re all made to help others, to lift people UP.” – JOEL OSTEEN

His father always encouraged him to preach, but Joel would politely decline time and time again until one day in October 1999 when his father was admitted to the hospital with kidney complications. Joel finally agreed to preach the next Sunday, and his father passed the following week. Joel’s first sermon was the last his father ever heard. Joel and his wife, Victoria, were suddenly thrust into full-time leadership of Lakewood Church.

Joel Osteen Devotional 3rd March 2021 Wednesday – Better Is Coming

You are reading Today’s Joel Osteen Devotional  Wednesday 3rd March 2021 written by Joel & Victoria Osteen to inspire and bless you!

‘God knows what’s in you; He knows what you’re capable of. He’s not going to let fear hold you back. He’s not going to let the negative things people have spoken over you keep you from moving forward. He’s not going to let how you were raised, what you didn’t get, keep you from becoming who He created you to be.’ – Joel Osteen

Today’s Scripture: Ecclesiastes 7:8, AMPC
Better is the end of a thing than the beginning of it.

Today’s Word On Joel Osteen Devotional for 3rd March 2021 Wednesday
You may have had a rough start, but you don’t have to have a rough finish. Better is the end. Don’t keep dwelling on the negatives of the past. God is saying, Something better is coming. You may be going through a rough spot today, but better is coming. Don’t cancel out the better by dwelling on the regrets, the failures, and what didn’t work out.

If your mind is always on yesterday, you’re going to move in that direction. Better is coming, healing is coming, and breakthroughs are coming. You’re not defined by your past; you’re prepared by your past. If the past hadn’t happened, you wouldn’t be prepared for the better that is coming your way. You may have made some mistakes, but you can’t do anything about what happened yesterday. Living with guilt is not going to make anything better. It’s time to drop it.

You’ll not only feel a weight lift off of you, but you’ll step into the better things God has in store.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for my past, the successes and victories as well as the mistakes and failures. Thank You that the past has prepared me for today and for the better things You have in store for me. I believe breakthroughs are coming, new opportunities are coming, and healings are coming. In Jesus Name, Amen.
