MFM Daily Devotional 26th August 2020 – Seasons of Life by Pastor D. K. Olukoya
TODAY’S TOPIC: SEASONS OF LIFE
Fire Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
Today’s Outline: MFM Daily Devotional 26th August 2020
There are no short cuts to success. To succeed in life, you must follow the principles of success. Just as it is difficult for a fish to succeed on dry ground, so it is hard for people who disregard the law of success to succeed. A dry season is a season when the essential materials of life are scarce or missing.
It is a season when worthlessness seems to shine. It is a time when the stars in the sky seemed to have lost their brightness and seemingly unable to shine again. It is a time of hopelessness; a time when the expectation of hope seems to be dashed or crushed.
It is a time when you put in so much strength and get little or no result. It is a time when positive result is not forthcoming. It is a time when even what you have gathered, seems to be decreasing, instead of increasing.
This is characterised by the absence of God’s presence, low spiritual power, low spiritual sensitivity; lack of appetite for God’s word, etc. When the living water that flows from the inside seems to be drying up, there will be lack of fear of God and lack of reverence for God. When there is spiritual dry season, there is lack of tangible progress in the things of God in your life, and it is a very terrible thing when there is spiritual dryness because it introduces other problems.
There is nothing in life that is as important as a word from heaven concerning anything that you are doing. If there is a word from heaven concerning your projects, then you are a winner. But when there is no word from heaven, it is your spiritual dry season. You must discover your season and flourish when the opportunities are available. Discover your time and make the best use of it.
Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 7:5“Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.”
Motivational Quote: The beauty of the promises of God is that, each time we take them to God in prayer, God has only one response, he simply says.
Prophetic Word: Any power sitting on your wealth, sitting on your money, sitting on your finances, sitting on what is moving you forward, within the next 24hours, let them be scattered, in the name of Jesus.
- HYMN: MFM Daily Devotional 26th August 2020 by Pastor D. K. Olukoya
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart
Solo 1: Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Solo 2: Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.
Solo 3: Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.
Solo 4: Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
SOlo 5: High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
