This year’s INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING theme is “committed to the cause–working on the frontline to end human trafficking.” This year’s theme seeks to focus attention on those organizations and individuals, who work tirelessly to end human trafficking around the world.

Against this background, DO FOUNDATION Nigeria partners National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Bayelsa State, sponsored a visual awareness campaign to commemorate the day.

The jingle which is in visual and audio format featured children and adults who preached and urge the perpetrators of this act to stop or face the full wrath of the law.

Speaking to our correspondent in Yenagoa, Barr Dise Ogbise, the National President, DO Foundation Nigeria stressed the need to raise awareness as the level of human trafficking is increasing by the day, especially ‘Child Trafficking’.

She advised parents to be observant and conscious about the movement of their children adding that parents should reject any form of inducement from the traffickers.

The visual was shot in Yenagoa and produced by Chidi Obasi, member of Association of Movie Producers, AMP Bayelsa state chapter.
