Around 100 firefighters are battling a huge blaze in an industrial laundry unit in London.
The fire has engulfed the property and sent a huge plume of smoke up into the air, visible for miles around.
London Fire Brigade says it is making ‘steady progress’ in tackling the inferno on the Park Royal industrial estate in Acton.
Crews were called at 2.19am, with firefighters from Park Royal, Acton, North Kensington, Ealing, Chiswick, Wembley and other stations attending the scene.
The brigade has received 13 calls about the fire at the single-storey property in Sunbeam Road, Park Royal, near Acton Cemetery.
A spokesman for the service tweeted: “Crews are making steady progress at the fire in #ParkRoyal.
“Part of a single-storey industrial unit remains alight. This was the scene firefighters were faced with when they arrived at the blaze.”
The tweet was accompanied by a picture of flames rising above the building.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known and there have not been any reports of injuries.
