  • AMP Sends Cash Palliative To All-State Chapters

As the Coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage the globe, its effect remains uncontrollable in most countries. Nigeria as of today has recorded over 1900 cases with 58 deaths and 319 persons recovered from the strokes of the pandemic. This has made many countries shutdown activities and it has impacted their economy badly.

Recall that Nigeria shut down major states and cities like Lagos, Abuja, Ogun state and the rest to control the spread of the disease. To this background, untold hardship has hit the citizens making people to run helter-skelter.

On this note, AMP is the employers of labour in the Nollywood industry, making it one of the biggest units in revenue generation in Nigeria; Nollywood has joined other meaning Nigerians, Associations, and cooperate bodies to send palliative to members to help during this hardship in the country.

Speaking to our reporter in Yenagoa, Martins P. Zidebegha, Secretary-General, Bayelsa State chapter of the Association told us that the National body made the move in other to help members and also the wives of late members to push a little bit in taking care of themselves during this period and the cash palliative cut across all states of the federation. He applauded the National body of AMP for this kind gesture.
