Southall stabbing: Seven people injured in knife ‘fight’ in west London

Seven people were injured after a stabbing in a west London restaurant this morning.
Police were called to The Broadway in Southall shortly after 11 am and found a man in his 20s with a slash injury, who was taken to hospital.
Paramedics said seven people were treated for injuries with three of those rushed to hospital.
A Metropolitan Police source indicated to MyLondon that the incident is not being treated as a hate crime.
At least two people have been arrested and officers currently believe two groups were involved.
Local MP Virendra Sharma tweeted: “Saddening news from Southall Broadway, I have been in touch with the police for an update on local safety.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.14am this morning to reports of an incident on The Broadway, Southall.
“We sent three ambulance crews to the scene and an incident response officer.
“We treated seven people at the scene and took three of the seven to hospital.”
An employee at Spice Village, who arrived after the fight, said the restaurant was closed and a police cordon was in place.
He said: “When I came at around 12.15pm, I saw two police cars and a cordon. Nobody can go inside now.
“A guy passing told me there was a fight inside.”
