Little finger : 179.1 cm
Ring finger : 181.6 cm
Middle finger : 186.6 cm
Index finger : 164.5 cm

When asked by Guinness World Records in 2015 how his nails affect his life, Shridhar said they were extremely fragile and he needed to take care when sleeping.

“I can’t move much, so every half an hour or so I wake up and move my hand to the other side of the bed.”

Despite opposition from his parents, he said he would be able to work with one hand, eventually becoming a photographer with a customised handle to accommodate his nails when using the camera.
He only grew the nails on his left hand, keeping his right hand trimmed. Due to years of growing his nails and their weight, his left hand is permanently handicapped; he cannot open his hand from a closed position or flex his fingers.

ISIS’ child victims: Crying kids flee homes, suffer bomb injuries and sleep in smoke-filled homes in powerful images

EXCLUSIVE: In one image, released by Oxfam, a brave 14-year-old girl poses next to a water tank where her hand was blown off by a hidden ISIS bomb

Dressed in polka dot clothing, a brave young girl stands beside a water tank outside her home where her hand was blown off by an ISIS bomb.

Aged only 14, Doha, who goes by a pseudonym, was cleaning by the tank in northern Iraq when the IED suddenly exploded, causing horrific injuries.

Unbeknown to her, the deadly device had been planted at the site by Islamic State militants when they swept through her hometown, Owsijah village.

It was only two months after Doha returned home – following the recapturing of the village – when she stumbled across the hidden bomb as she cleaned.

In a terrifying blast, she lost half of her hand.

The picture of the teen, courageously standing by the tank near where the IED was buried, is among a series of powerful images taken in the war-ravaged country.

Others show families weeping and embracing as they are reunited at a camp, not too far from Mosul, after being torn apart when ISIS took control of the city.

Thin and in a state of shock, some women were seen discarding their black Niqabs, while men “wept openly”, as thousands flooded the camp’s gates.

In another striking image, a couple stand on the roof of their home with their three children, aged 11, six and five, as a fire rages behind them.

The family live next to a burning oil well in Qayyarah. And although the mum is always cleaning, their home is constantly black with smoke.

“I just keep cleaning and it comes back the same,” she says.

“If we stay like this we really will die here. We don’t have electricity and at night the smoke fills the house and we can’t breathe.”

She adds: “I try to stop the children playing outside.” More HERE

Sentenced to Prison: Bill Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years in state prison and was subsequently taken into custody immediately following the end of his Philadelphia trial.

Shortly after Judge Steven T. O’Neil’s ruling, the first photo of the 81-year-old in handcuffs immediately went viral on social media.

According to Mirror, after the sentencing, Andrew Wyatt, Cosby’s spokesman, read a lengthy statement in which he decried what he called “the most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States.”

O’Neill also decided to designate Cosby a “sexually violent predator” under Pennsylvania law, which means Cosby will have to undergo monthly counseling and register as a sex offender with police for the rest of his life.

Neighbours and schools will be notified of his address, certain movements and crimes, as will Constand.

When prosecutors told Cosby in court he would not have to inform Constand of his movements himself but that a proxy would do so, he replied: “Good!”

Cosby has denied any wrongdoing. Asked if he wanted to address the court with a statement before sentencing, Cosby declined through his lawyers. His lawyers had asked that Cosby be placed under house arrest, citing his age and frailty.
