Deeper Life Daily Manna 13 March 2018 Devotional – Control Your Tongue

Deeper Life Daily Manna 13 March 2018 Devotional by Pastor W.F Kumuyi

Topic:  Control Your Tongue

Bible Text: Proverbs 12:1-16 (KJV)

Key Verse: “A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him” (Proverbs 12:14).

Message: Can it be that the average person spends one-fifth of his or her life talking? That’s what statistics say. If all our words are put into print, the result would be this: single day’s words would fill a 50-page book, while in a year’s time, the average person’s word would fill 132 books of 200 pages each! Among all those words, there are bound to be some spoken in anger, carelessness or haste. Deeper Life Daily Manna 13 March 2018

Generally, the book of Proverbs is considered as the most practical book that touches on all areas of life such as marriage and family (verse 4), wicked inventions (verses 5,6,12), and the control of the tongue which receives significant emphasis in verse 6, 13-14. Our study presents a cocktail of contrasts – a very useful tool to direct us through life.

God gave us the tongue as a tool to express feelings, thoughts and to convey words of wisdom, hope, encouragement and love. Through it, we are able to worship Him in speech, and communicate His laws and ways.

Sadly, so much damage has been done through the use of the tongue which cannot be reversed. The tongue is used to destroy relationships, businesses, peddle rumours and encourage prejudices as it has the ability to set on fire the whole course of nature (James 3:6). Deeper Life Daily Manna 13 March 2018.

DCLM Daily Manna 12 March 2018 by Pastor W.F. Kumuyi – From Above Only

To set our lives in order, we need to ask the Holy Spirit to take control of our tongues. The next step in our recovery is to apologise to those we have injured with our tongues and, from then on, begin to build and to plant through the authority of the tongue. Remember that when eventually you are old and set aside from vigorous service, you can still serve in the closet of your room in prayers through the use of your tongue.

Thought For The Day: Take control of your tongue, to take control of your posterity.

DCLM Daily Manna Devotional 25 September 2018 – Prayer, The Master Key by Pastor Kumuyi

Topic: Prayer, The Master Key

Key Verse: “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full“ (John 16:24)

MESSAGE: DCLM Daily Manna Devotional 25 September 2018

The Bible says a lot about prayers and people who prayed. Abraham prayed and so did Jacob. Many people prayed in the Bible and they received answers to their prayers. The Bible even detailed notable prayers like that of Solomon at the dedication of the temple or the quick one that David prayed to God to turn the counsel of Ahitophel to foolishness. Women, like Hannah, prayed too and received miracle children. Even unbelievers like the sailors in Jonah’s day knew how to pray. Prayer is the believer’s heart-cry to the Almighty.

Jesus also prayed. The passage above shows us the master key Jesus gave His disciples. Four times, He told them to ask again and again from the Father so that their joy would be full. He then took them to the school of prayer. He lectured them on the why, what and how of prayer. Prayer must be in His name to be answered. He also taught them to be steadfast in prayer. The world is evil and troublous times are inescapable for the saints. But when such times come, we should pray because He has overcome for us already.

The Church needs the master key of prayer today more than any other time. The key will open any door for the Church, families and the individual. Societal pressures are snuffing prayer times out of the daily schedules of many people. But how can you open doors of success if you abandon the passkey? There is an urgent call to prayer today for all and sundry. You must join them and use the key to make yourself relevant in time and eternity by opening every door blocking your progress. Remember God heareth not the sinners. He desires that sinners first pray for their salvation before He begins to add other blessings to them.

Thought For The Day: Prayer is the master key that opens all locked doors.

Memorize: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. – John 15:5

Abiding in Jesus isn’t something that comes automatically to any believer. It’s a lifestyle that involves discipline and effort.

We have to choose to give ourselves to our union with Him, to give Him first place where our attention is concerned. If we want to grow spiritually, if we want to walk in power and in fellowship with the Lord, we’ll have to spend the time it takes to know Him.

Kenneth Copeland Daily Devotional 25th September 2018 – Move Closer Every Day

That’s not something we can do for a while and then forget about either. We must continue in it every day. For the moment we stop moving closer to Jesus, we always start drifting away.

You see, here in this natural world you’re surrounded by ungodliness. You live in a body that is totally natural. Unless you purposely counter that with daily prayer and time in the Word, your body and your mind will simply give in to the pressures around you and go the way of the world. Kenneth Copeland Daily Devotional 25th September 2018 Kenneth Copeland Daily Devotional 25th September 2018

Right now, make a decision to give yourself to the things of God. Focus your attention on the Lord. Surround yourself with His Word. Listen to preaching and teaching tapes while you’re getting dressed, driving to work, preparing dinner, working on your car, exercising, cleaning house and when you go to bed. Listen to the Word of God anytime, anywhere! Kenneth Copeland Daily Devotional

Abide in Him today.
