Today’s Seeds of Destiny 23 February 2018 Daily Devotional by Dr Paul Enenche

TOPIC: A Destiny of Excellence

SCRIPTURE: But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Peter 2:9 (Seeds of Destiny 23 February 2018 Daily Devotional by Dr Paul Enenche)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God has no other place for His people but the top.

MESSAGE: One of the most important assets of anyone on earth is understanding one’s true identity in life. When people are not aware of their true identity, they become established in slavery.

From our anchor scripture, we understand that we have the heritage of the destiny of excellence as children of God. God has no other place for His people but the top.

People in Scriptures like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses etc. were people who existed at the top.

Seeds of Destiny 23 February 2018 Daily Devotional by Dr Paul Enenche – A Destiny of Excellence

Identity is important for two major reasons:
a) Identity affects destiny. Until you know who you are, you cannot become who you are meant to be in life.
b) Identity affects authority. People are more authoritative when they realize who they truly are.

What then is our destiny of excellence?
1. We are destined for excellence by Creation
During creation in Genesis 1:26-28, God put man in charge of everything he created

2. We are destined for excellence by the Covenant
As long as we are the seed of Abraham by covenant, we are in charge of nations as kings and territorial commanders; our destiny is above only (Genesis 17:6).
3. We are destined for excellence by Redemption
Jesus Christ died so that we can excel (Ephesians 4:6). Everywhere you find yourself, refuse to be in any position but the top. Read Yesterday’s Message

REMEMBER THIS: God has no other place for His people but the top.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Refuse to live in mediocrity
2. Endeavour to study the lives and principles of people in scriptures and how they succeeded, then follow their steps.

PRAYER: O LORD, I ask that You open my eyes to the Truth in Your Word. Help me to live in excellence always, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

Billy Graham Daily Devotion 10 December 2018 – Steadfast Love

Memorize: Your steadfast love, O Lord, is as great as all the heavens . . .  —Psalm 36:5 (TLB)

Young people talk a lot about love. Most of their songs are about love. . . . “The supreme happiness of life,” Victor Hugo said long ago, “is the conviction that we are loved.” “Love is the first requirement for mental health,” declared Sigmund Freud. The Bible teaches that “God is love” and that God loves you. Billy Graham Daily Devotion 10 December 2018

To realize that is of paramount importance. Nothing else matters so much. And loving you, God has a wonderful plan for your life. Who else could plan and guide your life so well?

What is real love? Read Billy Graham’s answer.

Prayer for the day Billy Graham Daily Devotion 10 December 2018

In knowing I am loved by You, almighty God, my heart trusts You to guide me.

DCLM Daily Manna 10 December 2018 Devotional – The Kingdom In Focus

TOPIC: The Kingdom In Focus

TEXT: Romans 14:10-22

KEY VERSE: “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” – (Romans 14:17).

MESSAGEDCLM Daily Manna 10 December 2018 Devotional:

Have you got faith? “…Have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth” (Romans 14:22).

Martin Luther King Jr. once said ‘Never, never be afraid to do what is right, especially if the wellbeing of a person or animal is at stake; society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our souls when we look the other way’. The Christian church is uncompromising in its stand against all kinds of conduct opposed to scriptural standards.

Our text deals with issues that bother on the believer’s understanding of true Christlikeness, holiness, fruitfulness, doctrine and morals. This involves a sincere rebuking, correcting and evaluation of one another where necessary in love and humility and the exercise of church discipline on erring members and leaders.

DCLM Daily Manna 10 December 2018 Devotional – The Kingdom In Focus by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

Believers should refrain from judging one another. Christ our Lord is the One who has the right to judge. We must avoid anything that constitutes a stumbling block to fellow believers especially the weak ones. As believers, whether we are strong or weak, we must realise that true liberty does not lie in the exercise of that liberty if it will disrupt the peace of the body of Christ, knowing that the highest good is only attained in its use to edify the church.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Use not your liberty as a cloak of maliciousness.
