Seeds of Destiny 22 February 2018 Daily Devotional – Dr Paul Enenche

TOPIC: The Deception and Frustration of Sin

SCRIPTURE: Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Sin ruins sense; iniquity corrupts mentality.

MESSAGE: It has been established from Scriptures that the act of sin is the root of deception and frustration in life. There are many people today in the eternal flames of hell fire who were deceived into eternity in hell on the account of sin. Seeds of Destiny 22 February 2018

Take note of these thoughts on sin:
1. Sin is a promise breaker. Adam and Eve never achieved what satan promised them when they sinned.
2. Sin is a heart breaker. Adam and Eve ended heartbroken because they could not achieve what the devil said they would achieve when they disobeyed God.
3. Sin is a destiny fighter. It was sin that ruined the destiny of Adam and Eve, and Samson.

Seeds of Destiny 22 February 2018 Daily Devotional – The Deception and Frustration of Sin

What then are some of the consequences of sin?
1. Sin exposes the nakedness and wretchedness of man. The glory of God that covered Adam and Eve was lifted and their nakedness exposed by the lifestyle of sin.
2. Sin ruins sense; iniquity corrupts mentality. Adam who had high mentality to name all the animals on earth suddenly used leaves for cover because of a deterioration of mentality as a result of sin.

Beloved, if you are not interested in living a life that is denuded and wretched before God and man on your journey of life, repent from sin and surrender your life totally to God.

Billy Graham Daily Devotion 10 December 2018 – Steadfast Love

Memorize: Your steadfast love, O Lord, is as great as all the heavens . . .  —Psalm 36:5 (TLB)

Young people talk a lot about love. Most of their songs are about love. . . . “The supreme happiness of life,” Victor Hugo said long ago, “is the conviction that we are loved.” “Love is the first requirement for mental health,” declared Sigmund Freud. The Bible teaches that “God is love” and that God loves you. Billy Graham Daily Devotion 10 December 2018

To realize that is of paramount importance. Nothing else matters so much. And loving you, God has a wonderful plan for your life. Who else could plan and guide your life so well?

What is real love? Read Billy Graham’s answer.

Prayer for the day Billy Graham Daily Devotion 10 December 2018

In knowing I am loved by You, almighty God, my heart trusts You to guide me.

DCLM Daily Manna 10 December 2018 Devotional – The Kingdom In Focus

TOPIC: The Kingdom In Focus

TEXT: Romans 14:10-22

KEY VERSE: “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” – (Romans 14:17).

MESSAGEDCLM Daily Manna 10 December 2018 Devotional:

Have you got faith? “…Have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth” (Romans 14:22).

Martin Luther King Jr. once said ‘Never, never be afraid to do what is right, especially if the wellbeing of a person or animal is at stake; society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our souls when we look the other way’. The Christian church is uncompromising in its stand against all kinds of conduct opposed to scriptural standards.

Our text deals with issues that bother on the believer’s understanding of true Christlikeness, holiness, fruitfulness, doctrine and morals. This involves a sincere rebuking, correcting and evaluation of one another where necessary in love and humility and the exercise of church discipline on erring members and leaders.

DCLM Daily Manna 10 December 2018 Devotional – The Kingdom In Focus by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

Believers should refrain from judging one another. Christ our Lord is the One who has the right to judge. We must avoid anything that constitutes a stumbling block to fellow believers especially the weak ones. As believers, whether we are strong or weak, we must realise that true liberty does not lie in the exercise of that liberty if it will disrupt the peace of the body of Christ, knowing that the highest good is only attained in its use to edify the church.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Use not your liberty as a cloak of maliciousness.
