Okoko is a trained economist from prestigious University of Port Harcourt, he holds another degree in Political Science from the renowned Carlton University. In 2014, he attended a course on Strategic Thinking from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. The industrialist also wears an Harvard lapel. With a propensity to acquire knowledge, he also participated in the Harvard Business School (HBS) Finance for Senior Executives Programme in 2015. The businessman is currently completing the HBS Owner President Management (OPM), a management and leadership program which he started in 2016.
This young Bayelsan, popular in the corporate world, is the Founder and Group Chief Executive of KDI Group —a diversified strategic investor in key sectors of the Nigerian economy including Oil and Gas, Power, Infrastructure and Agriculture. KDI Group aims to be globally recognised in every sector they invest in as an institution driven by excellence.
KDI Oil and Gas Limited (KDIOG) which is a member of the KDI group [an indigenous service provider to the Oil and Gas industry in Nigeria] is a business incorporated by Okoko in 2009 to carryout the business of drilling support for the Oil and Gas industry, environmental management, marine logistics and support, and project management. Also, KDIOG is involved in the business of marketing, supply and trading of crude oil and petroleum products.
Interestingly, KDI Engineering is another member of the KDI Group (formerly known as BEKS Kimse Nigeria LTD), a leading indigenous company established as a practical demonstration of a long term belief by its founders that Nigerian companies can give its clients services that meet international standards via the employment of commitment, innovation and a predisposition of excellence.
Under the leadership of Okoko, KDIES has worked diligently to meet this goal. The company has been and remains committed to the basic philosophy of efficient service delivery. Their core services include Engineering, Procurement, Civil Construction, Marine and Dredging. Today, astute Ijaw man has grown the company from a staff strength of 4 to over 120 members of staff.
