Today’s DCLM Daily Manna January 12 2018 Devotional by Pastor W.F. Kumuyi
Topic: A Worthy Image
Today Friday January 12, 2018
Text: Leviticus 21:16-23

DCLM Daily Manna January 12 2018 Devotional Key Verse: “No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.” (Leviticus 21:21).

Secular kingdoms and kings are usually careful in selecting their ambassadors and worthy representatives. They ensure that their choice truly reflects and represents the image, wealth, strength, glory and splendor of their land. As such, no one who appears weak, feeble, fearful and incompetent with any form of impediment is chosen for that office. They, therefore, expect their would-be representatives to be a true replica of those they represent.

DCLM Daily Manna January 11, 2018 Devotional – Synergy in Service

In today’s passage, God specifies the physical qualifications of the priests who were to be His representatives and servants. They were to be whole and perfect without any form of physical deformity. Reasons for this are quite obvious. They were to be the true representatives of the Almighty who is in everything, complete and perfect.

The priest who stood between God and man was to rightly reflect the nature and image of God. It’s important to remember that the Old Testament priesthood and sacrificial order were pointers and foreshadows the perfect New Testament order. The priest was a type of Christ, the perfect and blameless High Priest. Though the issue of physical deformity does not disqualify one from the ministry, we must not lose sight of the symbolic relevance. God still demands perfection from His people today. No one with any form of deformity or blemish is fit for God’s service. And if such is not fit for His service, he is equally not fit for His holy abode.

Remember, Christ is coming for a glorious and perfect Church. So, pray for cleansing by His blood, live a righteous life and obey the word of God in all things to be fit for the Mater’s use here on earth and fit to dwell with Him in heaven. You must possess “holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14).

Billy Graham Devotion 13 December 2018 – What God Has Done

Topic: What God Has Done (Billy Graham Devotion 13 December 2018)
With everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. — Isaiah 54:8

If God is all-powerful and all-loving, it would seem inconsistent with His nature to allow anyone to be lost. Here again we rationalize because we do not understand the nature of God. God cannot go against His own laws and against His own nature. God is holy. He cannot tolerate sin in His presence. He created us free to choose how we would live. He invites us to come His way, but leaves us free to pursue our own ends with tragic, natural consequences.

Billy Graham Devotion 13 December 2018

We glibly say, “Surely a loving God would not allow a person He loves to be lost. He just wouldn’t allow it.” Far from allowing it, God has done everything He can to prevent it! Talk about love! “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son . . . ” This is good news. Because of what God in love has done for us, we need not be lost.

Prayer for the day: Almighty God, your magnanimous love is felt in my life, as I live each day through the grace of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Kenneth Copeland Devotional 13 December 2018 – Don’t Panic

Topic: Don’t Panic (Kenneth Copeland Devotional 13 December 2018)
Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed. –Proverbs 16:3, The Amplified Bible

Right now you may be on the edge of a major decision…about to make a change in your job or your church or your personal life. You know you need divine guidance. And you’re hoping desperately to hear from the Lord.

If that’s your situation, don’t panic. Being led by the Lord isn’t some complicated process that only the spiritual “pros” can master.

Kenneth Copeland Devotional 13 December 2018

I found that out years ago when I was a new believer. I wanted to live in a way that was pleasing to God, but I didn’t know how to make decisions that were in line with His will.

Then one day as I was studying The Amplified Bible, I came across Proverbs 16:3. Immediately, I latched on to this verse and began to use it in my life—and I can tell you now from experience, it works!

It will work for you too if you’ll do what it says. Roll your works over on God, commit your ways to Him, trust them wholly to Him. He’ll start adjusting your thoughts to be like His until, at some point, you’ll just know the right thing to do. Of course, faith is involved. One of the requirements is trust, and you won’t be able to do that without feeding on God’s Word. Then as you practice rolling your works upon the Lord and trusting Him, you become more confident in your ability to hear. Start now with whatever problem is bothering you. Pray and trust God with it. In other words, believe you receive when you pray. Stop worrying and begin believing.
Kenneth Copeland Devotional 13 December 2018

Learn to live this way and it doesn’t matter whether you’ve been a Christian 30 minutes or 30 years, your plans shall be established and succeed!
