BAYELSA GOV’S AIDE TASK YOUTHS ON LEADERSHIP
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Talent Development and Gender Promotion, Mrs. Helen Inafa Bob has charged Ijaw Youths to remain focused, dedicated, exhibit humility and service to enable them positively imbibe the qualities of leadership for the Ijaw Nation.
Mrs. Helen Inafa Bob made the remark during the unveiling of a Book “The Beauty of a Woman” written by Victor Oroyi as part of a youth summit “Developing the Ijaw nation – Raising knowledge based leaders” n Kaiama, Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA.
She advised the students to emulate Ijaw Leaders who have made positive impact on the society by taking their studies seriously so that they can be useful leaders in future.
The special Adviser enjoined the students to redefine and re-orientate their mindset towards meaningful ventures that will promote peace, unity and stability for the people of the Niger Delta.

In a keynote address, the president of Ijaw Women connect, Rosemary Graham Naingba made it clear that students should de-emphasize the desire of militancy and concentrate their efforts on how to become useful leaders.
The Director – General of Girl Child Protection Bureau, Mrs. Juliet Pulu – Zifaowei during the discussion session cautioned the students against involvement in negative tendencies which could have adverse effect on their future.
Margaret Buba, Vice principal of Community Secondary School, Igbogene in Yenagoa LGA emphasize the need for students to always concentrate on positive ventures that will protect their future.
She reminded Ijaw youths to emulate leaders who have distinguished themselves in various aspects of life so that they can be properly equipped for the task of nation building.
The chairman of the occasion, Rhodesia Whyte who unveiled the book challenged youths to always demonstrate sincerity and honesty in whatever position they find themselves in future endeavours so that Ijaw nation can develop.
In a vote of thanks, Mr. Victor Oroyi, who organized the Reflector Summit expressed delight that the response of the invitees to the event is an indication that they are committed to the growth and development of youths.
