“Let’s finish it off, me and you”: Shirtless race-goer crashes through crowd to square up to punter at Royal Ascot
A mass brawl almost broke out at Royal Ascot’s Ladies’ Day after a shirtless race-goer got riled up.
Mirror reports that Footage which has now gone viral shows the topless man squaring up to a man as punters sipped champagne.
Many were standing around enjoying the famous horse racing event when the man crashed through crowds.
He was heard saying “let’s finish it off, me and you” in the commotion, as other men fought to hold him back.
One woman was knocked to the ground and had her drink spilled all over her as shouts were heard and the fight escalated at the ground in Ascot, Berkshire.
Eventually the man was calmed down by a crowd who restrained him.
The video was posted on Twitter with the caption: “GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.”
Mirror Online has contacted Thames Valley Police for comment.
Despite being a classy event, Ascot has endured a few drunken brawls.
In 2011 a mass fight broke out on Ladies’ Day, with top-hatted race-goers brandishing £98 bottles of Laurent Perrier as weapons.
One guy was seen being held in a headlock and members of a military band had to step in to stop the fight. No arrests were made at the time
Donning flamboyant hats and high stilettos, day three of the racing event saw many enjoying a drink or two or even three today.
One woman appeared to have given up on her glass as she gripped a bottle of what looked like champage.
Another lady was snapped appearing to help her friend out with a wardrobe malfunction, as she sorted out the back of her dress.
Meanwhile, the excitement seemed to have got a bit too much for another race-goer, who was pictured having a lie down on the grass.
