At least four killed after vehicle is driven into group of soldiers on promenade

A truck has driven into a crowd of soldiers on a promenade in Jerusalem killing at least four people.

The truck drove into pedestrians in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood in a suspected terror attack.

About 15 people are thought to have been injured with at least four thought to have died.

Witnesses say the attacker drove his truck “back and forward” over the victims as they lay on the floor.

Police have said the truck driver was “neutralized” . It is believed over soldiers at the scene shot him dead.

Victims were reportedly trapped underneath the truck, the Times of Israel reported.

A crane was brought in to lift the vehicle of the victims.

Pictures from the scene show bullet holes in the windscreen of the vehicle after police attempted to stop the driver.



Police say the truck veered from its course and rammed into people getting off a bus.

An Israeli bus driver who witnessed the incident said on the radio the truck sloughed into a group of soldiers, and that they fired on the driver, who reversed direction and ran over them again.

“They shot him, until they neutralized him,” said the bus driver, who gave his name only as Moshe. More to Read on Mirror
