President Muhammadu Buhari has been told to stop stalling but quickly sell off presidential jets as he has promised to save money in these harsh economic times.
Punch reports that the coalition of civil society organisations, under the aegis of Say No Campaign Nigeria, on Friday, September raised alarm over the ongoing economic recession in the country and charged the president to start the move of rescuing the economy by selling off his planes

Chairman of the group, Ezenwa Nwagwu noted that the president needed to make urgent adjustments like selling off the jets which are costing the country so much to maintain. He said the group also wants probed projects from 2004 to 2015, especially those undertaken by First Ladies.
He said, “We are greatly concerned about the unprecedented level of economic hardship bedevilling the nation which has resulted in hunger, deprivation, unemployment, rising cost of essential commodities, unmitigated corruption in public and private institutions, worsening security situation, flagrant abuse of democratic processes and the accompanying failure or refusal by government to effectively address these issues.Read more
