They have been denying rumours of a romantic split for some time.
But Montana Brown and Alex Beattie did little to dampen those theories after leaving the Love Island bash separately, last night.
In fact, the reality TV pair fuelled the speculation after Montana was spotted heading home from London’s Libertine nightclub with Simon Searles instead.
Their departure was in stark contrast to a few hours earlier, when Alex and Montana put on a united front for the cameras.
But, for viewers of the ITV2 dating show, it’s just the latest in a long line of bizarre twists.
First, fans of the show picked up that they were the only pairing not to have been seen together since leaving the show.
Then, Montana appeared on Loose Women earlier in the week and revealed she’d only gone on the dating show to further her career rather than for love.
More recently, they both took part in a toe-curling interview on Love Island Reunion, where host Caroline confronted the pair directly during the show.
“We did read a little story in the press that you two had split up,” she told them during the exchange.
Defiant Alex jumped in straight away telling Caroline: “Definitely not.”
“He lives way up North,” explained Montana.
“Has she said the L word yet?” pressed Caroline. As Alex sighed: ‘no,’ Montana pulled an awkward face and the host had to quickly move. More on this story
