Constant Power supply in Yenagoa and Rivers state is as a result of Flood in Lekki
According to Facebook user who posted the information, he stated that the constant light in Yenagoa and Rivers state is as a result of power shutdown in Lekki due to the flood which has destroyed the area.
Yenagoa has been experiencing constant electricity supply over the past 72 hours making it historical in Yenagoa and environs. But at the time of this report there is light in sight. Is this the improved electricity or the cause of flood in Lekki axis? Well we shall know in days to come. Read what the Facebook user said about the light;
“Power Holding Company explains the motivus behind the constant electricity supply in Rivers and Bayelsa states. An interrogation on one of their executive staff explained that the flood disaster that affected Victoria Island, Lekki, parts of Ibadan is the remote cause.
According to him, the flood water destroyed most of the armored cables hence we shutdown power in that region. And if we don’t power up other regions, the voltage will increase and destroy most electrical components such as transformers and cables.
As soon as power is restored in those areas, power supply in our states will reduce.
Lagos state is adjudged to be the highest consumers of electricity in Nigeria that’s why much priority is accorded them….”
