British Kirsty Maxwell fell to her death from a Spanish balcony in a “state of terror”, police claimed in court yesterday, according to her family’s lawyer Luis Miguel Zumaquero.
He also alleged she was fleeing a “sexual attack that had begun to materialise” in a 10th-floor flat.
Ricky Gammon, 31, Anthony Holehouse, 34, Callum Northridge, 27, and Daniel Bailey, 32, all from Nottinghamshire, gave evidence in private about events in their apartment.
Judge Ana Isabel Garcia-Galbis will decide if they should be charged but she let them return to the UK.
Their lawyer Roberto Sanchez said: “My clients have nothing to hide.”
Recently wed Kirsty, 27, of West Lothian in Scotland, was part of a hen party in April.
She plunged to her death from the 10th floor of the Apartamentos Payma in the Little England area of the Spanish resort.
The apartment block Kirsty fell from is on Calle Gerona, the city’s main strip, home to dozens of British pubs and clubs.
Kirsty’s family have been using social media themselves in a bid to find new witnesses – especially those who were staying in a holiday complex across the road.
Kirsty’s husband Adam previously said: “I’ve lost my best friend. I miss her every moment of every day.
“The amount of support shown is a true testament to Kirsty’s character and how many people’s lives she touched.
“I know anyone that has come into contact with Kirsty over the years would struggle not to love and adore her.”
