– N6m Donation: FIDA Bayelsa Chair commends First Lady
The International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA Bayelsa State branch has commended the Bayelsa State Government for a donation of N6 million to Baby Oyeintari Michael Jackson for a constructive surgery abroad.
Dise Ogbise-Erhisere, Chairperson FIDA Bayelsa State branch made the commendation during the official handing over of the money and traveling documents to the parents of Baby Oyeintari by Dr. Rachel Dickson wife of the Bayelsa State governor at Government House, Yenagoa.
Mrs. Ogbise-Erhisere, thanked Dr. Rachel Dickson for her efforts towards providing medical succour financially to the 10-month old Baby whose genital organs were allegedly chopped off by his step grandfather.
She described the kind intervention of the Governor’s wife as a milestone in the protection of children who suffer various degree of violence.

The FIDA Bayelsa Chairperson while speaking with journalists said the grand father who allegedly chopped off the genital organs of Baby Oyeintari when he was nine months old will soon be charged to court explaining that the police are done with their investigations.
In her words ‘this is a success story for FIDA, we are happy we have a governor’s wife with a large heart, a woman who will do anything for the Bayelsa Child.’
The reconstructive surgery when successfully carried out will restore his manhood and make him live a normal life again.
