Actor Tom Hardy collared a crook after pursuing him through gardens and a building site in a Hollywood style chase.
The 39-year-old sprinted after the thief, who had crashed a moped he had stolen along with another suspect into a £50,000 Mercedes at a busy road junction on Sunday afternoon.
One of the thieves was caught within moments but the other took off on foot.
An onlooker told how the Taboo star chased the yob through gardens and a building site in Richmond, south west London until he was able to grab him by the scruff of the neck, declaring: “I caught the c***.”
He then pulled the thief into a bus stop and patted him down for hidden weapons before checking his ID and handing him over to police.
Witness Arun Pullen, 22, told The Sun : “It was mental – like he’d switched to superhero mode in an action movie. Two boys on the nicked moped had jumped a red light and smashed into a car.
