This was despite the warning by the Biafra agitators to stop the rally at all cost.
Mr. Emma Powerful, IPOB spokesman stated that, “IPOB will use all available means to stop this show of crass insensitivity to our brave heroes and heroines killed by Buhari.”
The leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of Soverein State of Biafra, Mr Uchenna Madu had issued similar threat on Wednesday.
But no fewer than 25,000 members of the pro- Buhari group had converged on the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square as early as 10am on Friday to show their solidarity to the president who returned to the country same day.
Led by the National Media Director of the organisation, Mr. Chijioke Onyekaonwu, the group took to major streets of the capital city.
