Mysterious labyrinth of ISIS ‘rat’ tunnels dug beneath Mosul shrine reveal lost palace built six centuries before Jesus

Telegraph reports, tunnels dug deep under a Mosul shrine blown up by ISIS have revealed an undiscovered palace dating back to 600BC.

The Nebi Yunus shrine – containing what Muslims and Christians believe to be the tomb of Jonah, as he was known in the Bible, or Yunus in the Koran – was destroyed by ISIS militants in 2014.

Now local archaeologists documenting the terrorist group’s destruction of the ruins say they have made a surprise discovery.

The demolished shrine sits on the top of a hill in eastern Mosul, named Nebi Yunis. footage below;
