Baker claims Trump ‘plagiarized’ cake he made for Obama’s inauguration

Donald Trump was sworn in as 45th President of the United States yesterday, despite a campaign which was almost derailed on several occasions.

Who could forget the plagiarism accusations targeted at wife Melania after she gave a speech which sounded remarkably like one written by Michelle Obama.

Trump hasn’t even been in office a day and he’s been hit with more plagiarism claims – but this time over a cake.

Celebrity baker Duff Goldman took to Twitter to point out that Trump’s cake bore a striking resemblance to the one he baked for Obama’s second inauguration four years ago.

Sharing photographs of the two bakes, he wrote: “The cake on the left is the one I made for President Obama’s inauguration 4 years ago. The one on the right is Trumps. (sic) I didn’t make it” along with a ‘thinking face’ emoji.

Goldman’s cake was a nine-tier creation, complete with a red-striped base engraved with the presidential seal and had blue stars attached to wires bursting from the top. MORE PHOTOS
