EXISTING AS A BLESSING

SCRIPTURE: I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great, and thou shall be a blessing. Genesis 12: 2
Existing as a blessing is the act of contributing positively to the lives of others. It is living to handle other people’s challenges or reduce their burdens. It is adding value to the lives of others.
If you exist as a blessing, a sad person who contacts you will end up smiling; a person who has no food gets fed; a hopeless person becomes hopeful; a homeless person becomes sheltered; a nonentity becomes a celebrity, etc. If your life is making such differences in others, then you are a blessing to your generation.
Beloved, the essence of God’s blessing is to make the blessed become a blessing to others. Everyone is blessed to the extent of their willingness to bless their generation.
God does not bless containers, He blesses channels. In 2 Kings 4:5-6, the Bible records that when there was no more vessel (jar) to be filled, the oil stopped flowing. Where the vessel stops, the oil stops flowing.
The truth is, God does not bless stagnant ponds but flowing rivers. If you make up your mind to be a flowing river to benefit your Maker, family and generation, then you are a blessing.
Remember This: Everyone is blessed to the extent of their willingness to bless their generation.
1. Determine to exist as a blessing to your generation.
2. Locate a needy person today and be a blessing to them in the area of their needs.
