An interview with chidispalace. The beauty queen expresses her opinion regarding her passion to serve humanity through Miss Bayelsa Beauty Pageant.

It will present a better opportunity for me to create programs that will enhance skill acquisition that will aid individuals in the society to learn other vocations such as catering, hair dressing ,tailoring, welding e.t.c. in other to have a source of income as well as maximize poverty to an extent.
2- I want to be a role model for the young and old and an advocate for higher education, healthy families and international adolescent girl education. I will be working with the management of the foundation, relevant authorities to put a halt to girl child deprivation of education and illiteracy. Also I will work with NGOs such as FIDA to make sure that child abuse ,molestation andsexual exploitation is eradicated from our society.

3- Educating the youths.
I will educate the youth and children of the society and the detriment of cultism, armed robbery, rape and other vices that we face in our society and the importance of education. As the saying goes education is   the road to success, the fastest way to make people great is by educating and empowering the girl-child, youth and children in the society cause they are our leaders of tomorrow. Thank you.

 Chidispalace:
Is this going to be your first appearance in beauty pageant?
Freda:
Yes

Chidispalace:
Do you think you got the qualities to possibly possess the crown?
Freda:
Yes I do.  I am confident, courageous and zealous. With God there is nothing I can’t do.

Chidispalace:
Do you think you will come outstanding in the event, knowing fully well there are other experienced contestants?
Freda:
Yes. In life you face challenges and what matters is your ability to perceive and make a positive outcome of any situation thrown at you. There are many experienced contestant, but my zeal and my goal I want to achieve keeps me driving and I know I will be outstanding because I know I have what it takes to be a queen.

Chidispalace:
What will be your priority when crowned Miss Bayelsa 2016/17?
Freda:
My priority will be to :
-Be a role model.
-Empower the youths.
– Educate the youths on the importance of education and the ills and detriment of cultism and other vices we face in the society.
– Hold seminars that will create awareness to the girl child, for them to be aware of the sexual exploitation and early marriage as well as educating the women of the society to kick against it.

Chidispalace:
Moreover, previous Queens are zero on the score sheet in terms of performance during their reign, what will be the legacy you will leave behind?
 Freda:
With the aid , support and assistant of the management of the foundation and other relevant authorities this will be put in place.

Chidispalace:
Nowadays beauty Queens are being labeled flirts, prostitutes and dogs, What is your say?
Freda:
Those are different queen and their priorities are different from mine, the passion that drives me is different from theirs. If am to be crowned queen during my reign the legacy I will leave behind will be of greater good and achievement in the society, a legacy that people will live to remember in terms of development and empowerment of youth, friendship and the importance of family and how I was involved in the community and state enlightenment programs, and how the well being of the people was my utmost priority.

Different people, different vision, different mission and different aspiration. Most queens may want the crown and are desperate to get the crown thereby going the extra mile to get crown but what they fail to realize is the crown does not define you, you define the crown and there is more to being a queen than just wearing the crown. The pageant world is being stereotyped as a medium for prostitution and harlotry but from my perspective its not true it depends on how these young ladies portray themselves. Who define who you are and not other and you portray how you want the world to see you

Chidispalace:
So are you desperate or passionate about the crown?
Freda:
I am passionate and not desperate . once you have a goal to achieve its all about passion .

Chidispalace:
Well, tell us briefly about your love life.
Freda:
I am single
For you to attain love its an expensive price to pay. Finding someone to love you for who you are and not what you are or what he tends to achieve in dating you. My love life is not perfect am single and am fine with it because it get rid of distractions and focus on other important things like my studies, family, loved ones and how to better the society as for now relationship is not my top most priority.

Chidispalace:
As an aspiring queen what will you advice the Youths on pure relationship and sex?
Freda:
My advice to the youth will be to have self control and to compose themselves and to set their priorities straight. For now  sex is not a criteria for love and pure relationship can be based on cordial friendship. Education, school and studies first.

Chidispalace:
Is your family in support of ur ambition
Freda:
Yes

Chidispalace:
What’s your social life like?
Freda:
I am social but reserved but friendly

Chidispalace:
Finally, what are we expecting from Miss Bayelsa 2016?
Freda:
An outstanding performance of grace, elegance and poise, added with confidence, charisma, and truth.

Chidispalace:
Thanks for your time
Freda:
 You are welcome

Chidispalace:
Wish you all the luck…. maybe your next interview with chidispalace will be after your crowning.
Freda:
 Amen
