THE NECESSITY OF TESTIMONIES AND THANKSGIVING
Welcome to yet another Seed of Destiny Devotional written by Dr Paul Enenche

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Testimonies are the proofs of our gratitude to God.
When our Lord Jesus was on earth, He healed many people that were afflicted with various kinds of sicknesses and diseases. There was a time ten lepers cried unto Him for healing (Luke 17:12-19). He was merciful unto them and healed them but only one of them returned to give thanks to God.
In our society today, just like the remaining nine lepers that failed to return the glory to God, many people know how to pray, fast and cry unto God because of a particular challenge of life, but forget to glorify God when their problem is solved.
God delights in testimonies and thanksgiving; He wants us to bless His Name when He does something for us.
What then are the necessities of testimonies and thanksgiving?
1. Testimonies are proofs of gratitude to God.
When we give testimonies of God’s act of goodness publicly and give Him thanks for His works, it shows that we are grateful to God.
2.Testimonies are necessary because they prove the faithfulness and reliability of the Almighty God. Thanksgiving confirms that God is reliable. So, when you withhold testimonies, you are withholding glory from God.
Remember this: Testimonies are the proofs of our gratitude to God.
1. Make up your mind to give God praise for every kind of mercy He has shown to you.
2. Publicly testify of God’s acts of kindness and goodness in the assembly of the saints.
PRAYER: O LORD, deliver me from a life of ingratitude. Give me the grace to continually praise Your Name, in Jesus’ Name.
